Knives are not simply reduced sword shapes, there are subtle geometric considerations creating significant differences in practical application when considering knife making. The Japanese performance culinary knife industry is over 120 specific designs, each with their own application. The big question is if Japanese master sword smiths make some of the best swords in the world, how good can their knives be?
Our upcoming classes in June 2017 will mark the end in our series on Japanese sword smithing. These are the only classes of their kind in the world and have provided very exclusive opportunities for those that have taken previous classes and to those attending our extended final classes in Montreal, Canada at Les Forges de Montreal.
We have many opportunities with our Master Japanese Sword Smith, please join us…
We’ve created a class option that is a shorter, but more intense version of our full sword smithing class. We created this option to lessen the time and financial commitment to do our full class and still have a genuine working opportunity our Japanese sword smith, Fusataro. This class will run concurrently to our 10 day class. Get the full picture on our Tanto Forging Class…
